Sustainable standards for quality assurance

For the rest of the suppliers, we will use external resources for audit. It is probable that we will have a system of self-evaluation and accreditation through a recognized and well-managed program, like the better work program of the international Labor Organization. With the support of this, our own resources will be freed, who can later on use their time to follow up corrective action plans. At present, we are in a position where one could have a corrective action plan with some open issues, which remains open for a year or may be longer. This is because we have maintained our focus on audits and not towards the resolution of the corrective action plan.

No doubt, there are a lot of things that are changing and it was required. It was needed to make connection between Sourcing and Sustainability to have our social and environmental standards inculcated into the product right from the beginning. In the last years, we had to develop something and then would have to run through these tests to ensure whether it was compliant with our Restrictive Substances List or not.
